It would be absurd if A.J. Brown was a happy dude right now – not when his team is coming off their third loss in as many weeks.
Brown and the Eagles could have regained control of their division with a win over the Seahawks on Monday night but paid a heavy price for some poor fourth-quarter decisions that left them nursing a 20-17 loss and a 10-4 record with three games left in the season.
The wide receiver did’t have a particularly great game as he made just five receptions for 56 yards. Tensions spilled over on the sideline when he got into it with a player from Seattle’s practice squad. And he’s brought the fire to social media as he’s gone off on a fan who suggested that Jalen Hurts is being forced to pass to him whether or not he’s under significant coverage.
The fan referenced a play in which Hurts threw to Brown although DeVonta Smith presented a much easier target. Brown, though, insisted he was the first option on the play and went on a bit of a rant as he complained about being targeted when things don’t work out.
“Yall fans swear yall know everything,” he wrote. “It’s a shot play to me .i’m the 1st read . He Just missed the throw. of course we could’ve threw it 6 because it didn’t work but when the S- works everyone is happy. Quit all that buddy ball S-. I am decoys on many plays.
“And all that he forcing me the ball shii too . I’m in his head bullshii. When I make plays , everyone happy , but when it’s incomplete it’s I’m making him throw me the ball. I get blame for more S- than anything. Tired of yall playing with my character.”
Brown and Hurts are good friends but they were seen having a fiery exchange during a game earlier in the season. Both of them downplayed the moment, though the wideout went on a tear immediately after as his usage spiked.

The pair will have to figure out how to be effective again or Philly can forget about a return to the Super Bowl.
