Aidan Hutchinson is sticking to his story after claiming he will be back in time for the Super Bowl as long as the Detroit Lions make it there.
The star defensive end was ruled out for the rest of the season in October after fracturing his tibia and fibular. However, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Hutchinson could potentially be ready to play again by early February.
Hutchinson fully intends to return by then if he has to and reiterated as much in an interview on Taylor Lautner’s ‘The Squeeze,’ with the clip airing on ‘Good Morning Football.’
“I’m on track for my goal of returning to the Super Bowl,” he said. “I keep telling all the boys when I see them in the facility. I’m like, ‘You guys just gotta get there and I promise you I’m going to be back.’ ”
Fans Are Skeptical Over Aidan Hutchinson’s Claims

“Some good news for the Lions,” another wrote.
“We need him sooner,” said a third.
“It sounds great but I still gotta take it with a grain of salt, man can’t walk normally yet I’m not sure if he’ll have time to condition enough to be a net positive on the field if he even was healthy enough,” a user pointed out.
“That’s a valiant promise!…..but unfortunately, THIS Lions fan just don’t think we have enough horses to get us that far. At least half our defense are backups and practice squaders….” another chimed in.
“We pray for you Aidan, and all injured players for a faster recovery #DetroitLions #OnePride,” someone added.
As Aidan indicated, even his mother doubts him. Still… “there’s no other way.”
