Heading into the 2024 NFL offseason, it was expected that the New York Jets would make some major moves after a disappointing season. While Aaron Rodgers’ injury was a big reason for their 7-10 record, it was also clear during the 2023 season that, even with A-Rod, their roster was not good enough to compete for a Super Bowl.
Their front office did make some big moves along the offensive line by adding Tyron Smith, Morgan Moses and John Simpson, but the team could also use another big-time receiving weapon to take some of the load off Garrett Wilson.
The Jets were reportedly in the running for Keenan Allen, but he got scooped up by the Chicago Bears in a trade.
Two other interesting names that have emerged are Cincinnati Bengals wideout Tee Higgins, and the San Francisco 49ers’ Brandon Aiyuk.
According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, either of these two disgruntled wide receivers could be next up on the Jets’ radar.

Behind Wilson on the Jets’ depth chart are Jason Brownlee and Xavier Gipson. Aaron Rodgers can’t like the sound of that if things don’t change before week one of the 2024 season.
Tee Higgins Is Not Happy In Cincinnati
The Bengals placed the franchise tag on Higgins before the deadline, as they look to keep him around for another season with Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. However, Higgins is clearly not happy about it.
The star wideout was hoping for a long-term extension. And when he didn’t get it, he asked for a trade. Cincy doesn’t appear to be interested in moving Higgins, which resulted in a cryptic post on Instagram where the 25-year-old wideout implied that he’s being “locked up” by the Bengals.
