An interesting trade proposal has the Cincinnati Bengals dealing superstar wide receiver Tee Higgins to an AFC contender in a move that would give them arguably the best offense in all of football.
Tee Higgins has been the subject of trade rumors throughout the offseason. Though he requested a trade from the AFC North club this offseason, Higgins eventually agreed to play the 2024 season under the franchise tag.
But if the Bengals decide to trade Higgins while his value is at its highest, there would be no shortage of teams interested in the two-time 1,000-yard wideout.
Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox proposed an interesting trade idea that has the Bengals dealing Tee Higgins to the Jacksonville Jaguars in a move that would reunite him with former Clemson teammate Trevor Lawrence:
“Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins requested a trade after receiving the franchise tag earlier this offseason. While the team has made no effort to move him, a trade remains a possibility…
If Higgins is or becomes available, the Jacksonville Jaguars should be interested. They did use a first-round pick on receiver Brian Thomas Jr., but they also lost Calvin Ridley in free agency.
Adding a receiver of Higgins’ caliber could help maximize quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who just inked a massive five-year, $275 million extension.”
The Jaguars already have a deep set of playmakers in wideouts Christian Kirk, Gabe Davis (signed in free agency) and rookie Brian Thomas Jr. plus tight end Evan Engram and running back Travis Etienne Jr.

But adding a superstar like Tee Higgins could take this offense to a historically special level. Just imagine an impact player like Thomas Jr. or Davis serving as the No. 6 option in their offense.
Over his first four NFL seasons, Higgins has 257 receptions for 3,684 yards and 24 touchdowns. His best season came in 2021, when Higgins caught 74 passes for 1,091 yards and six touchdowns.
Bengals Will Likely Keep Tee Higgins For Now
At this time, it’s going to take a lucrative offer for the Bengals to trade Tee Higgins. They’re in win-now mode with Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, so it doesn’t make sense to trade Higgins before Week 1.
A trade becomes a lot more likely if the Bengals aren’t playing up to expectations leading up to the trade deadline. If that happens, the Jaguars should definitely make a play for Higgins if they’re in the postseason race.
