If the New Orleans Saints struggle out of the gate like they have in each of the last two seasons, GM Mickey Loomis will have to consider a trade deadline fire sale that could include star pass rusher Cameron Jordan.
Despite missing the playoffs in each of the last three years, the Saints have refused to begin a long overdue tear-it-all-down rebuild. Once again, they’re hoping that the ageing core of Cameron Jordan, Demario Davis, Marshon Lattimore, Alvin Kamara and Derek Carr will help them sneak into the postseason for the first time in the post-Drew Brees era.
In a potential deadline sale, the 35-year-old Jordan would be one of New Orleans’ best trade chips. The eight-time Pro Bowler is signed through 2025 and remains an annual threat to record double-digit sacks, not to mention his reputation as one of the league’s most beloved locker room teammates and leaders.
If Cameron Jordan were to hit the trade block, he’d surely want to join a Super Bowl contender at this phase of his career. One team that makes sense for Jordan is the Baltimore Ravens, a team in win-now mode that’s also short on game-changing pass rushers.
Justin Madubuike was the only Baltimore player to hit double-digit sacks last season. Jadeveon Clowney, who finished second on the team with 9.5 sacks, left for the Carolina Panthers in free agency.

Baltimore’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game further emphasized their need for more pass-rushers. And a future Hall of Famer with 15 forced fumbles, 61 pass breakups and 117.5 career sacks would do the trick.
What Ravens Should Offer Saints For Cameron Jordan
As Jordan is about to enter his age-35 season, he shouldn’t cost too much on the trade market. Baltimore should offer a conditional 2025 fourth-round pick that becomes a third if Jordan reaches double-digit sacks and a 2026 fifth-round pick.
