Another day, and another football dad is not happy.
Adrian Peterson found a new home with the Seattle Seahawks this week, signing to their practice squad. It happened during the same week that his old team, the Minnesota Vikings, were dealing with their own running back issues.
Adrian Peterson’s dad, Nelson Peterson, is entirely upset over that. According to Chris Thomasson of the Pioneer Press, Nelson is not happy with the team opting to bring in ex-Detroit Lions running back Kerryon “My Wayward” Johnson instead of calling his son.
“That’s disappointing to me,” he said. “He never heard anything from the Vikings and you go in and bring in a guy Adrian beat out in Detroit (in 2020).”
Before being cut loose, Peterson played in three games for the Titans and rushed 27 times for 82 yards and one touchdown.
He is currently fifth on the all-time rushing list with 14,902 yards, and owns several Vikings franchise records such as most career rushing touchdowns and most career rushing yards.
