Damar Hamlin left a bad taste in the mouth of a ton of people when he walked out during the Super Bowl, and it’s because of what he had on.
One person who called him out on it was Adrian Peterson. The seven-time Pro Bowler called it “Blasphemy” in his Instagram post.
“You should be thanking God son! This is Blasphemy!! We all fall short but cmon man! I find this disrespectful!! #grateful #goddid”
Fred Taylor jumped in the comments and said: “You should DM him bro…I’m sure he’s listen to your opinion. Posting it doesn’t help anyone. He’s young, young ppl don’t always think before they wear things just like people who wear skulls and other things that doesn’t align with Christian beliefs. Try to reach him,” Taylor wrote to Peterson.
Peterson added in the comment section: “But this was different! I know young people don’t think at times, older as well! But with everything surrounding his situation!! This isn’t one of those moments where it’s a young guy not thinking!”

As far as that jacket he was wearing, it was a $3,150 Takashi Murakami “Travis Jesus” jacket with the crucifix, according to TMZ.
24-year-old Hamlin could be seen sitting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Donna Kelce. Before the game kicked off, first responders who saved Damar’s life were honored.
He has yet to respond to the backlash.
