Legendary NFL kicker Adam Vinatieri has been away from the game since 2019 but that hardly means he’s resting on his laurels and it appears he’s spending a lot of time in the weight room.
Vinatieri, who is likely to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame at some point, took to Twitter this week to post a video in which he’s shown participating in a workout with his son. “Is this how 50 is supposed to look?!” he asked in the caption.
The four-time Super Bowl champion celebrated his 50th birthday on December 28 but is clearly taking care of himself and staying in shape.
The post was a follow-up to a tweet from Christmas Eve wishing everyone a “Merry Liftmas.”
Vinatieri spent 24 years in the NFL and is considered to be one of the greatest kickers of all time. The 50-year-old won three of his Super Bowls over the course of a 10-year span with the New England Patriots. He spent the next 14 years of his career with the Indianapolis Colts, winning another championship in 2007.
