There’s expected to be a lot of wide receiver movement in the NFL once again this offseason, and it appears as though another popular pass-catcher has just announced he’ll be looking for a change of scenery in 2023…
Well, to be more accurate, it was actually the wideout’s wife who made the announcement—which, as far as sources go, it doesn’t get much closer than that.
Following the Minnesota Vikings’ Wild Card loss to the New York Giants at home on Sunday, Caitlin Thielen, wife of Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen, posted an emotional message to her Instagram Story that read the following:
“And just like that the season and our time here in MN might be at an end. Super proud of your attitude this season and always fighting.”
Thielen will be 33-years-old by the start of next season. Whether this means he’s retiring or on the verge of getting traded or released remains to be seen, but it doesn’t sounds like we’ll be seeing him in Vikings purple next season.
If that is in fact the case, Thielen will finish his career in Minnesota with 534 catches for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns. Not too shabby for a guy who wasn’t even drafted.
