The Carolina Panthers continued their offseason makeover by adding one of the top names on the wide receiver free agent market.
According to reports which have been confirmed by Adam Thielen himself, the former Minnesota Vikings wideout is now the newest member of the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers lost their top wide receiver, DJ Moore, when they shipped him off to the Chicago Bears along with a number of draft picks for the first overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
That means Thielen steps in as the team’s current number one wideout for whoever they decide to take with the number one pick one month from now. Whether they add some additional playmakers on offense remains to be seen, as there are limited options still available on the free agent market.
Thielen is entering his 10th NFL season and will be 33-years-old when the 2023 campaign begins. In 2022, he had 716 yards and six touchdowns. The Panthers will be just the second team that Thielen has played for, as he spent his previous six seasons in Minnesota.
