ESPN’s Adam Schefter has relayed a five-worded message pertaining to a possible trade for Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams following rumors claiming the player could be moved ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.
The star wideout cut a frustrated figure after the Raiders suffered an embarrassing loss to the Detroit Lions on Monday night, a game in which he hauled just a single reception for 11 yards.
The Raiders have made it known that they will not be trading Adams and, speaking on ‘First Take’ today, Schefter claimed to have heard there’s “not a chance in hell” of the WR moving to another team before the looming deadline.
Monday’s loss leaves the Raiders with a 3-5 record in their first eight games of the season.
It’s become clear that Adams and new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo do not have great chemistry as the QB seems to be more comfortable with the Raiders’ other pass catchers.
Derek Carr’s presence was the leading factor in Adams’ decision to move to Vegas last year as they played together in college and are close friends. But he’s stuck with a signal-caller whom he had no idea he would be playing alongside as the Raiders opted to part ways with Carr in the offseason after shutting him down at the end of last term.

It doesn’t appear that Adams will be remaining with the team much longer, but his exit isn’t happening today.
