Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said this week ‘applied medicine’ has allowed him to see more clearly in his life, NFL career.
One NFL insider is painting a clearer picture of his future with his recent comments.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter said there’s a “real possibility” that the Green Bay Packers trade their longtime franchise quarterback.
“Both sides are fully aware that a trade is a very real scenario this offseason,” he said.
Following the end of the Packers’ season over a week ago, after they finished 8-9 and placed third in the NFC North, Rodgers is dealing with plenty of speculation about his future. He told McAfee he’s not “mentally or emotionally ready” to decide on what’s next. This would make it the third-straight year where his future with the team became in doubt.
“I just need some time right now. I don’t need to ask anyone to respect my time,” he said later in the interview.

Rodgers’ contract still has $110 million left on it after the 39-year-old signed an extension with Green Bay last spring.
After winning the league’s MVP award in each of the last two seasons, Rodgers took a step back in 2022. He threw for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
