While the Tennessee Titans are still awaiting the results of the MRI to determine the fate of their star running back, Derrick Henry, many are already looking ahead at possible replacements for the MVP front-runner.
Of course, by now you’ve probably already heard the news on Henry. During Sunday’s overtime victory against the Indianapolis Colts, the NFL’s leading rusher suffered what is believed to be a fracture in his foot. Henry was seen walking around with his shoe off on the sidelines, flexing his foot. And he even re-entered the game.
Fast-forward to Monday morning, and it’s being reported that, barring a miracle, it seems as though the Titans will be without their workhorse back for a significant amount of time:
While we await the results of the MRI, ESPN’s Adam Schefter took to Twitter to suggest some possible trade targets for the Titans, should the decide to pursue a replacement for Henry via the trade market. And there were some very interesting names on that list, to say the least:
A few of these names have come up over the past few weeks as running backs who could be available for the right price. Will any of them find themselves in Tennessee before the November 2nd trade deadline? Who knows. Will any of them be able to replace what Henry brings to the field every week? No chance.
