It’s been a few days since the New York Giants shocked the nation when they selected Duke QB Daniel Jones with the #6 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and they have been getting killed for it ever since.
Giants GM Dave Gettleman has not made that decision any better with comments about a random bagel shop fan telling him he made aq good choice and relaying that message to the masses as if it confirms anything.
As it turns out, Gettleman didn’t need to draft Daniel Jones at #6 and could’ve waited 24 picks later to do it at a much cheaper price, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Giants had a chance to some out of this draft in a very good place as they could’ve selected pass rusher Josh Allen to bolster the defense while taking Jones later as a future QB to possibly take over when Eli Manning retires.
