Aaron Rodgers is not officially part of the New York Jets team, but he’s already getting himself acclimated with the team.
This offseason, Allen Lazard, 27, signed a four-year, $44 million contract with the Jets after five seasons with the Packers. He said he did it because of the “bright lights” of the city and a strong affinity for his new offensive coordinator. Of curse, it was also the money and the fact that Aaron Rodgers wants to play there as well.
Rodgers and Allen Lazard, his former teammate with the Packers and potential teammate with the Jets, are working out in California together, according to posts on Lazard’s Instagram account.
Lazard posted photos of Rodgers and him running at what looks like a high school football field.
Needless to say, the often-cryptic Rodgers appeared to be in good spirits while running away from Lazard.

While the Jets and Packers are still haggling over the trade compensation for Rodgers, the photos clearly show that Rodgers has his heart and sights set on playing with the Jets in 2023 and not the Green Bay Packers. There is nothing to stop Rodgers from gathering more Jets skill players in California.
As Lazard and the rest of Gang Green await Rodgers’ official arrival, the Jets signed another ex-Packer in quarterback Tim Boyle this week.
Lazard has come a long way from being undrafted out of Iowa State, getting cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars and even getting cut by the Packers. He eventually established himself while playing with Rodgers.
After signing his deal, he also gave credit to offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who served in the same position for the Packers from 2019 to 2021. Hackett also was on the Jaguars’ staff during Lazard’s time there.
