Aaron Rodgers is tired of one narrative about himself.
Rodgers made his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show Tuesday and was asked about recent headlines alleging a rift between him and his Green Bay Packers teammates.
“It’s the same tired voices I think for the most part,” Rodgers claimed. “It’s people that either aren’t playing or weren’t anywhere near my level still trying to have a name on TV or people that enjoy trying to run with a narrative that makes me look bad.”
Rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs made these narratives a little more real when he was asked to tell a story about a time that he hung out with Rodgers outside-the-facility. He did not have one because he and Rodgers had never done it.
“Umm, I didn’t get a chance to hang out with him.”
Maggie Gray replied, “Not one time? He didn’t take you guys out?”

“As far as being around 12, I’d say possibly it’s always been football. So, in the building, on the practice field,” Doubs said before he dug deep to better his answer. “There was never a time where, you know – or – there was an event, well, not an event, but we had a team get together for Halloween and I thought that was pretty cool.”
Aside from his relationship with teammates, the saga of whether or not Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be traded this offseason continues to be a major conversation around the NFL.
The quarterback acknowledged that the Packers have already begun discussions about potential Rodgers trades.
“It sounds like there’s already conversations going on that aren’t involving me, which are interesting,” Rodgers said.
Even if the Packers plan to trade Rodgers, the quarterback still has to decide if he even wants to return for his 19th NFL season in 2023. Rodgers could very well ride off into the sunset like we just saw Tom Brady announce this week.
