The X (Twitter) account that accurately predicted Aaron Rodgers would suffer an Achilles tear on his New York Jets debut two hours before kickoff has been suspended.
Jets fans were really looking forward to this season following the trade that brought Rodgers to New York. But they’re set to continue the campaign with the quarterback whom Rodgers came in to replace as a starter as Robert Saleh has named Zach Wilson QB1 in the wake of the devastating setback.
Rodgers sustained the injury on a sack from Buffalo Bills defensive end Leonard Floyd, with video replay showing the tendon pop on his way down. The artificial turf at the MetLife Stadium is being blamed given the numerous injuries to have occurred there in recent years.
Still, no one would have guessed that Rodgers would be ruled out for the rest of the season just four snaps into his career as a Jet – no one except whoever’s behind the @DaddyZaslav account on X.
“Aaron Rodgers is going to tear his Achilles on a rain drenched MetLife field in 2.5 hours,” they wrote in a tweet prior to the game.
The tweet went viral, but it didn’t take very long for the account to be suspended.

It was suspected that it’s been kicked for being a parody of Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. But it’s since been pointed out that the account was responsible for some really irresponsible messages directed at other users.
As for Rodgers, he reportedly intends to return in 2024. We wish him a speedy recovery.
