Aaron Rodgers trade rumors have been a consistent theme over these last few off-seasons, but something about this offseason has us feeling like it may finally be happening.
In past off-seasons, the Packers have seemed reluctant to admit they’re ready to move on from A-Rod, but their tune has changed this time around. Both sides sound like they’re ready to move on, and while there’s no shortage of possible suitors for the four-time MVP, there is one destination that he apparently prefers.
According to reports from Associated Press NFL Insider Justin Cohen, Rodgers has informed his agent that he would prefer a move to the Las Vegas Raiders over the New York Jets.
A move to Vegas over the Big Apple would make sense for Rodgers for a number of reasons. For starters, he would be reunited with former teammate Davante Adams. And on top of that, there’s also the warmer climate, the state-of-the-art stadium and the tax-free income that a move to Las Vegas has to offer.
That last part is especially important, given how much Rodgers is already paying in taxes on a yearly basis.

The Raiders and Jets are just two of the teams who have been linked to Rodgers in recent weeks. There has also been speculation about the California native joining the San Francisco 49ers, although that may be unlikely given the Packers’ unwillingness to deal him within the conference.
Another interesting team that has emerged is the Tennessee Titans, who appear to be ready to move on from the Ryan Tannehill experiment. Rodgers is said to be building a house in Nashville. And you’d have to think that the prospects of joining a competitive Titans team in a weak AFC South Division would be appealing for the 39-year-old, as he searches for that elusive second Super Bowl before calling it quits.
