Aaron Rodgers is full of surprises these days.
The Jets quarterback was back on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ this Thursday, just one day after McAfee announced that he would not be back for at least the rest of the season.
McAfee brought Rodgers on to discuss his relationship with Bill Belichick after the Patriots announced their mutual parting of ways.
“Joining us now to chitchat about massive names being amicably departed from two teams and at a very, very high level is a four-time NFL MVP and a man who is a Super Bowl champion,” McAfee said. “Ladies and gentlemen, the last human Bill Belichick talked to on the field as the New England Patriots head coach: Aaron Rodgers.”
Rodgers would reveal that he’s back in the woods enjoying some downtime as the season ended for the Jets on Sunday night.
McAfee had previously claimed he was happy to see the last of Rodgers following his controversial comments on Jimmy Kimmel.

“There are going to be a lot of people that are happy with that, myself included to be honest,” the former punt specialist said on Wednesday
“We are very lucky to get a chance to chat with him and learn from him. Some of his thoughts and opinions, though, do piss off a lot of people,” he added. “And I’m pumped that that is no longer going to be every single Wednesday of my life, which it has been for the last few weeks.”
Speaking this Thursday, McAfee revealed having received some criticism from fans following Wednesday’s announcement.
“We were getting absolutely killed. They were like ‘You turned your back on him!’” he said. “It’s like, do you know how many things I’ve been through with Aaron Rodgers? Yeah, I was not pumped to be put in the middle of that.”
The host also pointed out that his show always breaks away from Rodgers during the offseason, whenever it begins for the QB.
