Just because Aaron Rodgers is an all-time great does not mean he is immune to having bad days on the field.
The four-time league MVP had a rough practice on Tuesday as Jets reporter Rich Cimini spoke on his stats with the first-team offense. Rodgers had seven-straight incompletions at one point, tossed an interception, and nearly threw another if it wasn’t dropped by the defense.
“Rough day for Rodgers (8-for-20, 1 INT) and first-team offense,” Cimini said. “Pass pro was spotty. A couple of drops. Rodgers misfired at times. Appeared frustrated. Had 7 straight incompletions at one point. Hit Wilson for a TD in the red zone. So there’s that.”
In 2022, Rodgers appeared in all 17 games for the Packers and completed 64.6 percent of his passes for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. By his standards, those are down numbers.
The Jets would like it better if he keeps his interceptions below double digits.

NFL fans will have to wait a little while longer for Aaron Rodgers’s highly anticipated Jets debut. The future Hall of Famer is unlikely to take the field at all during the preseason.
Rodgers was dealt to the Jets in April after a down year that saw Green Bay miss the postseason for the first time since 2018. His new team is hopeful he can lead them back to the playoffs and end a franchise-record 12-year drought.
