Tua Tagovailoa got some sound advice from Aaron Rodgers following their matchup.
Yahoo Sports’ Jori Epstein dropped a video of the Green Bay Packers QB revealing what he told the young Miami Dolphins QB after he praised him for his professionalism and class. Rodgers spoke on the many big hits he has taken on the field in 2022.
“I told him to take care of himself, too,” Rodgers said, “He’s had some pretty vicious hits this year. But he’s a good kid. He’s got a long career in the league to look forward to.”
The 24-year-old suffered his second confirmed concussion of the season during Sunday’s game. He is now in concussion protocol. It now puts his status for a critical Week 17 meeting against the New England Patriots in doubt.
Tagovailoa suffered the injury sometime during Sunday’s loss to the Green Bay Packers. On a play late in the first half, the quarterback appeared to hit the back of his head on the turf after making a throw. Tagovailoa stayed in the game, and then went on to toss three interceptions. He also completed 16 of 25 passes for 310 yards and a touchdown.
This is not the first time Tagovailoa has been placed in the league’s concussion protocol this season. He suffered a head injury, in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills, but was cleared at halftime to return to the game. days later, he would play against the Bengals and would be stretchered off the field after being knocked unconscious.
