New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has responded to fans who have been referring to him as “Mr. Johnson & Johnson” in the wake of his branding Travis Kelce “Mr. Pfizer.”
The nickname came about after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared in a commercial for the company that encourages people to get vaccinated against COVID-19. By now, NFL fans are fully aware of Rodgers’ stance on vaccination, so he had something to say when he got on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ last week.
The dig has earned the QB some criticism, though Kelce wasn’t all that bothered and laughed it off in front of reporters during media availability.
As Kelce and thousands of other fans would point out, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson is the Johnson & Johnson heir, which makes him “Mr. Johnson & Johnson.”
“That’s fascinating,” Rodgers fired back during this week’s episode. “I don’t play for the Johnson & Johnson corporation I play for the New York Jets.”

He has also challenged the KC star to a debate on vaccination, with Kelce saying he never thought he’d get into a vaccine war with Rodgers.
If anything, Rodgers has gotten some of the attention off Travis’ relationship with Taylor Swift. It appears the vaccine wars aren’t going anywhere just yet.
