It’s been a sub-par season for the Packers, but at least one thing remained constant in 2022: Aaron Rodgers still owns the Bears. Aaron Rodgers gave a salute to Chicago Bears fans after Sunday’s 28-19 Week 13 win, and he explained his actions after the game.
The Packers signal-caller completed 18 of 31 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown. Green Bay outscored Chicago 18-0 in the fourth quarter.
Rodgers completed a successful 2-point conversion to Marcedes Lewis with 1:01 left to play, he could be seen giving a little nonverbal jab to the home crowd, saluting the Bears faithful at Soldier Field:
Why did Rodgers give the salute? He said he respects Bears fans and he thought that he never knows when it will be the final time playing in a stadium.
“It’s part of the legacy,” Rodgers said.

“You always want to leave the place you’re at better than the way you found it.”
The Packers advanced to 2-0 over the Bears with scores of 27-10 in Week 2 and 28-19 in Week 13. With that, Rodgers’ record vs. his NFC North rivals improved to 24-5 for his career. Overall, Rodgers had completed 593 of 877, 63 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions against his division rival prior to Week 13.
Green Bay improved to 5-8 on the season while dropping Chicago to 3-10. The win is unlikely to do much for Green Bay’s playoff hopes at 5-8 unless they can go on a four-game win streak to end the season and get significant help from wild-card teams ahead of Green Bay in the NFC playoffs race.
