The Jets’ worst nightmare came to pass in just four minutes of Aaron Rodgers’ debut.
New quarterback Aaron Rodgers injured his ankle on on the team’s fifth offensive play. Veteran pass rusher Leonard Floyd rushed and sacked him awkwardly and Rodgers was in obvious pain.
He was helped off the field by trainers and headed to the blue medical tent before needing a cart on the sideline.
He was listed as questionable to return, but the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that Rodgers still had a boot on heading to the Jets locker room after getting X-rays.
Now, we are hearing from a panel of doctors who fear Rodgers may be out for the season.
It is way too early in his diagnosis to fully determine this, but this would be the worst thing ever for the New York Jets, the fan base, and Aaron Rodgers.
