Since entering the league in 2005 as the 24th overall pick of the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers has had a ton of incredibly talented teammates.
For starters, he got to learn behind one of the all-time great quarterbacks in Brett Favre. He’s also been able to throw the ball to the franchise’s all time leader in receptions and receiving yards, in Donald Driver. He’s currently handing the ball off to the franchise’s yards-per-carry leader, Aaron Jones. And he’s watched some all-time greats like Charles Woodson and Clay Matthews III do their thing on the other side of the ball, too.
But when it comes to the very best that Rodgers has ever played with, there’s one man that stands out above the rest. And that’s the recently departed Davante Adams.
Aaron Rodgers named Adams as the greatest teammate he’s ever played with late last season. Shortly after, he doubled-down on the comment by saying, “the type of dominance I’ve seen from Davante warrants that kind of praise.”
This comment largely flew under the radar at the time. Some of that had to do with the fact that no one expected Davante Adams to get traded at the time. And when it came to Rodgers, people seemed more concerned with what he was saying about medicine and his vaccination status, rather than actual football.
But with Adams now a member of the Las Vegas Raiders following a blockbuster trade, this comment probably deserves a little more attention.
