Aaron Rodgers is making some shocking claims this week.
Rodgers has never shied away from his ayahuasca use, and now, he is exposing that he is not alone in at least thinking about doing it.
Speaking at the Psychedelic Science 2023 Conference in Colorado, Rodgers, who has credited ayahuasca to helping him with his MVP Awards in 2020 and 2021, that ‘hundreds of NFL players’ had asked him about his psychedelic.
The then-Packers quarterback had previously traveled to Peru in 2020 try the plant-based hallucinogenic ayahuasca, describing the experience as “life-changing.” It contains a controlled substance that is illegal in the US called DMT.
“I did ayahuasca in 2020 and I won two MVPs,” he stated back in 2020.
“I don’t believe that it’s a coincidence. I don’t really believe in coincidences.
“I believe in science and synchronicities, and I really feel like that what that allowed me to do is to have a greater love for the game that I play, greater love for my teammates and I had maybe my best season of my career in 2020.”
This past Wednesday, he stated that sharing his experiences with his NFL teammates have helped the dynamic in the locker room.
Per Fox, Rodgers said: “I’ve been fortunate enough in the last few years to be able to sit in ceremony with teammates.

“I’m telling you, it is radically life-changing and it’s wild to be in a locker room and look over and just know, like, I’ve been in the maloca [indigenous South American dwelling] with you, guy.
“It’s pretty special. It changes the dynamic, for sure.”
He then stated a number of players had reached out to him after he shared his story.
He continued: “There’s been hundreds of NFL guys who have reached out.
“It’s been really fun to be able to connect with these guys who’ve done this work or was fascinated by it and want to learn more about it. But I’m really, really thankful for those opportunities because it just changes the dynamic when you’re in a room with somebody, you’re in a huddle with somebody, on a team with somebody, you’re talking, and like, man I’ve been there with you and that’s my brother.”
Following the 2022 NFL season, Rodgers went on his infamous “darkness retreat” to he could contemplate what he wanted to do with his future. He stated he was “90” sure he would retire, but would end up telling the Packers he wanted a trade to the Jets.
The Green Bay Packers, after 18 years, eventually shipped him out.
