The Aaron Rodgers era is off to a nightmare of a start when a night that was about Aaron Rodgers became a concern for the quarterback. On the Jets’ first drive of their Monday night matchup against the Buffalo Bills, the veteran quarterback was injured after a sack.
After a visit to the blue medical tent, he was carted to the locker room. After initially being labeled as questionable to return with an ankle injury, he was later downgraded to out. The Jets announced that his X-rays were negative.
Rodgers suffered the injury after being sacked by veteran pass rusher Leonard Floyd with 11:40 remaining in the first quarter. He clearly knew something was wrong as he stood up, looked over to the sidelines, and then dropped to the ground.
We are now seeing a new photo that appears to show his Achilles exploding.
All signs are pointing to Rodgers possibly being out for quite some time if not the entire 2023 season.
