After Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers were the centers of attention last offseason, where could his potential landing spots be in 2022 if the drama increases again this offseason?
With a possible divorce on the horizon, FS1’s Colin Cowherd thinks Rodgers will ultimately end up on the Denver Broncos.
“If Aaron Rodgers leaves Green Bay, he has to be the missing piece,” Cowherd said. “There’s only one place for that. It’s the Denver Broncos.”
“Green Bay does not want him in the NFC I can assure you that,” the radio personality continued. “Denver’s a team that can give up four first round picks.”
“Cornerbacks, got ’em covered,” Cowherd noted. “Two good tight ends. Javonte Williams now, they’ve added a running back. Two good running backs. They have a good left tackle. They have an edge rusher… All the things you need, and most of them are young.”
It was reported earlier this year that the Broncos were ‘gearing up’ to get Rodgers. “That’s what they’re doing,” radio personality Dan Patrick said on the Dan Patrick Show, citing a source. “This may not be the only player they get rid of, but they know they have a young nucleus there. Von Miller was expendable. They’re going to gear up, load up if Aaron Rodgers somehow doesn’t want to stay in Green Bay.”

Heading into the final year of his deal, he is due to count $46.1 million against the cap for the Packers. If the team were to trade him before June 1st, he would leave behind $26.8 million in dead money.
