New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was reported to have possibly suffered an injury during practice this Tuesday and he’s since confirmed as much.
ESPN’s Dianna Russini had initially reported that the player was having his ankle checked on the sidelines after he appeared to tweak something. But Josina Anderson of CBS Sports has since revealed the player is dealing with a calf injury that shouldn’t keep him out for too long.
Anderson reported this via Twitter and would follow up with an update noting Rodgers confirmed the calf problem himself.
We imagine Jets fans were pretty worried after reports of the QB going down injured in practice began circulating. But they can breathe easy now given the latest revelation.
Rodgers joined the Jets this year after an 18-year stint with the Green Bay Packers. He is expected to be the player who gets them over the top, with Super Bowl aspirations now the case as NY was thought to be just a good QB away from a championship last season.
