Jay Glazer reported Thursday that the Packers have “verbally agreed” to trade Aaron Rodgers after the 2021 season, if Rodgers requests a trade.
Never in NFL history has arguably the best QB in the NFL been available for trade, should the Packers go that route after the season.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, former Green Bay defensive back Will Blackmon gave his prediction for the reigning league MVP’s landing spot in 2022.
“Next year,” Blackmon said, “Aaron Rodgers will be a New Orleans Saint.”
Blackmon was Rodgers’ Packers teammate for four seasons (2006-09). He told TMZ that he still has a good relationship with the three-time All-Pro signal caller. He thinks the Saints not being certain of the starting QB for this season will lead to them ultimately signing Rodgers for next year.
As of right now, a QB1 has not been named in a quarterback battle between former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston and dual-threat athlete Taysom Hill.
