When the Green Bay Packers hired a young and unproved head coach in Matt LaFleur last season, many people though that Aaron Rodgers would not only be displeased about it, but would clash with him throughout the season.
However, LaFleur’s first year at the helm for the Packers was a success as the team went 13-3, captured the NFC North title and made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game.
But that still begs the question of whether they got along?
Rodgers confirmed as much on A.J. Hawk’s podcast over the weekend when the subject was brought up about not hearing any noise or issues between Rodgers and LaFleur throughout the season.
“Yeah, it was pretty f—— quiet, wasn’t it?” said Rodgers, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. … “The fact was, we got along really well.”
Rodgers threw for 4,002 yards, 26 touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 62 percent of his passes. The 36-year-old will hope to improve even further and get back to the Super Bowl, somewhere he has not been back to since the 2010 season.
