New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers plans to be back on the field in the few weeks, according to the four-time league MVP himself.
Following the Jets’ Monday night home loss to the Chargers, Rodgers met with Los Angeles safety Derwin James Jr. at midfield. As you can see in the video below shared by ESPN, James asked the future Hall of Famer when he’ll return, to which Rodgers stated, “Give me a few weeks.”
Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles minutes into his Jets debut against the Buffalo Bills back on Sept. 11. He was initially ruled out for the season, but Rodgers has expressed confidence that he’ll get back onto the field this year.
The 39-year-old was also seen walking on his own around MetLife Stadium on Monday, not needing the use of a cart.
Will Rodgers manage to beat the odds and return to the field much sooner than expected? If his timeline is right, we’ll have our answer within a few weeks.
