Whenever Aaron Rodgers returns to the field from his Achilles injury, he will be sporting different to his physical appearance.
On Thursday, the New York Jets quarterback revealed he has gotten a second tattoo which is a Chinese dragon looping over itself to form an “8” which is his current jersey number.
On either side of the dragon are the words “two” and “twelve”, which are references to his birthday on December 2nd as well as the jersey number when he played for the Green Bay Packers.
Balazs Bercsenyi, the Brooklyn-based Hungarian artist behind the design, is well known to Rodgers since he also did his first tattoo. That one consisted of two lions and several constellations amongst other imagery.
The New York Jets quarterback revealed earlier this week that he had always been eyeing a return from Achilles surgery on Christmas Eve against the Washington Commanders, but that is not going to happen.
Since tearing his Achilles on New York’s opening drive of the 2023 season, Rodgers has been fully focused on returning to the field prior to the 2024 campaign.
