These days, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers just can’t help but bring up Dr. Anthony Fauci during his appearances on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
Rodgers has been an outspoken vaccine skeptic over the last two years. You may recall that Rodgers was unable to play in the Green Bay Packers-Kansas City Chiefs 2021 game because he tested positive for COVID-19. Because Rodgers wasn’t vaccinated, he was unable to play.
Rodgers was accused of “misleading” the media and public, because he previously told reporters that he was “immunized.” Rodgers later stated that he “found a long-term immunization protocol to protect” himself.
During his latest interview with Pat McAfee, Rodgers took another shot at Dr. Fauci by stating, “If science is Dr. Fauci, you’re damn right I’m defying science.”

Last week, Rodgers dared Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (he recently starred in a Pfizer commercial for the COVID-19 vaccine) and Dr. Fauci to meet with him and outspoken anti-vaxxer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to discuss the vaccines:
Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles in the opening minutes of his Jets’ debut against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 11. A torn Achilles is almost always a season-ending injury, but the 39-year-old has continuously expressed confidence that he’ll make a miracle return at some point this season.
The Jets defeated the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday to improve to 3-3 on the year. They’re on a bye for Week 7 and will meet the New York Giants in Week 8.
