Aaron Rodgers went full Pat McAfee on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ on Tuesday as he called out a high-ranking ESPN executive while discussing his Jimmy Kimmel beef.
McAfee made headlines after going after ESPN head of production Norby Williamson on Friday and doubled down earlier this week while insisting his relationship with the network is still very strong.
Rodgers, who was making his weekly appearance on the show this Tuesday, took issue with the company’s senior vice president of production Mike Foss over the apology he issued to Kimmel after the quarterback’s comments from last week.
“Mike, you’re not helping,” he said. “I just read earlier exactly what I said. So, and this is the game plan of the media, and this is what they do. They try and cancel — and it’s not just me. It’s nowhere near just me.”
Rodgers has clarified what he said about the popular late-night show host, pointing out that he never said Kimmel’s name was on the list and is actually happy it isn’t.
It appears he didn’t feel there was a need for ESPN to apologize given that he doesn’t believe he said anything wrong.
