The decision on whether Aaron Rodgers will retire or play in 2023 should be coming very soon.
In a video with Brandon Marshall released Saturday night following a flag-football event, the Green Bay Packers quarterback confirmed a decision will be made very soon. He did not specify if in days or weeks.
“Stay tuned,” Rodgers said when asked when the decision is coming.
When Marshall followed up with, “How long do we have to wait?” Rodgers responded with this:
“Well, I think it won’t be long. There’s a time limit for all this.”
Rodgers is referencing Wednesday’s salary cap deadline when all NFL teams need to be under the league-mandated $224.8 million maximum.
When asked how last week’s meeting with Jets officials, including owner Woody Johnson, went, Rodgers added, “It’s always interesting meeting important people in the sport.”
As you can see, he is offering very little in his answers to keep people from trying to figure out where he might go.
