New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers clarified the potential timeline for his return from a torn Achilles, noting that there’s no guarantee he’ll be able to return in December despite what he said to NBC’s Melissa Stark on Sunday Night.
Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee Show Tuesday that he expects to return later in the season, but he’s not targeting a specific date.
When speaking on his injury and how quickly is he recovering from his injury, Rodgers delivered a stern message to ESPN as he noted that would just cut him off if he tried to speak on the conspiracy theories about his torn Achilles.
The procedure performed on Rodgers was done by renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache.
ElAttrache is reported to have placed an internal brace, called an Achilles “speed bridge,” on Rodgers’ fully torn left Achilles. The speed bridge apparently gives Rodgers a chance that simply didn’t exist years ago.
The speed bridge enhances the strength of the repair and guards it against stretching, potentially allowing Rodgers to accelerate his rehab.

As for the message to ESPN about being cut off, Rodgers is likely referring to ESPN suddenly taking him off the air when he alluded to the Covid-19 vaccine a few weeks ago. Many speculated it was a deliberate move by ESPN to prevent Rodgers from expressing his stance against vaccines.
That theory was shut down as it was later discovered it was only happening to a specific cable provider. The full, interrupted clip was posted online.
