As if their loss to the Detroit Lions wasn’t bad enough, the Green Bay Packers were dealt more bad news when at least four of their top players were spotted with either walking boots or crutches after the game.
Following their 15-9 loss at Ford Field, several sources started reporting the casualties in the Packers’ locker room. Running back Aaron Jones was perhaps the most noteworthy, as he was spotted with a walking boot on his left foot as a result of an ankle injury he sustained.
After the game, Jones said he was “fine” and just “a little sore,” adding that he wanted to go back in after his x-rays were negative, but the team decided to hold him out.
It sounds like he should be okay and may not miss any time, but this is definitely a situation worth monitoring as the 3-6 Packers enter “must win” territory going forward.
Also among the Packers’ walking wounded was rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs, who was sporting both a walking boot and crutches on his right foot. He left the game during the team’s first drive and was carted to the locker room shortly after.

No word yet on his status going forward, but based on how he left the game, things do not look good for the rookie—at least not in the immediate future.
On the other side of the ball, linebacker Rashan Gary was seen using crutches after injuring his knee early on, while cornerback Eric Stokes had the walking boot-crutch combo as a result of right ankle and knee injuries.
These injuries couldn’t have come at a worse time, as the Packers will host a 6-2 Dallas Cowboys team that’ll be fresh off a bye one week from today.
With the team already struggling during their five-game losing streak, it’s hard to see them righting the ship without these four guys in their lineup.
