Aaron Jones only wanted peace but he ended up taking a shot to the face as the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings had a postgame fight.
The Green Bay Packers kept their playoff hopes alive after earning a 33-10 road victory over the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.
After the game, the Packers running back found himself caught between a group of Packers and Vikings exchanging some words. As he tried to calm the situation down, he appeared to be struck in the face by someone in the mix.
He explained what happened after the game:
“We were walking out to shake hands and I see one of our players having an interaction with a Vikings player who just finished playing and they getting in each other’s face, going at it and then start shoving,” Jones told the NBC broadcast after the game. “So I just kinda tried to de-escalate it, move him to his sideline and we were good after that.”

The Vikings player in the middle of the exchange was cornerback Andrew Booth Jr., but it appears a Packers player may have struck Jones in the face.
Per ESPN’s Kevin Seifert, Booth said after the game there was just “trash talking” being exchanged between himself and an inactive Packer before the meeting became physical.
Jones had the last laugh as his team won to keep their playoff hopes alive and he finished the game with 120 yards on 20 carries, adding another 10 yards through the air on a catch in the Packers’ rout of Minnesota.
