Aaron Hernandez brother was extremely emotional as he recalled listening to his late brother’s voice in a recent documentary about him which made him feel like he was ‘alive’ again.
The clip was shared to DailyMail.com from the Dr. Oz show where Jonathan Hernandez broke down in tears as he recalled watching the Netflix film.
‘They have snippets of my brother’s voice which I think is so powerful. At least to me…[it] is something that is hard to deal with but also beautiful , as conflicting as that is, because there’s limited experiences where you hear that.
‘To hear his voice…it was like he was alive. It was his voice that was powerful.
‘I say powerful because my brother did learn through this situation. There were relationships, that were portrayed in the Netflix documentary that were crushed, [that] were mended,’ Jonathan said.
His full interview with Dr. Oz will air on Thursday.
Shayanna Jenkins, who turned down coming on the show, ultimately ended up doing a sit-down interview that aired on Good Morning America and stated how she nothing of the rumors about Hernandez possibly being gay.
“You can’t describe someone’s sexuality without them being here,” she said. “Although I’ve had a child with Aaron, I still can’t tell you what he was feeling inside.”

Jenkins also noted that Hernandez never discussed his feelings with her, though she said she would’ve handled it well.
“If he did feel that way, or if he felt the urge, I wish that I was told,” Jenkins said. “I wish that he would have told me because I wouldn’t have loved him any differently. I would have understood. It’s not shameful.”
Hernandez was convicted of murder in the death of Odin Lloyd in April 2015. A judge vacated the decision after his death since Hernandez was unable to appeal, but the conviction was reinstated in March because of a change in Massachusetts law.
