Aaron Hernandez’s name has been in the news all week, but that is because it seems his brother is headed down a similar path as him.
The brother of former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez was arrested on threatening charges amid concerns he was plotting to carry out school shootings at a pair of prominent New England universities.
That was shocking enough, but then Patriots tight end Hunter Henry had fans shocked even more when he mentioned the late Aaron Hernandez following practice this Thursday. Henry told reporters that Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien has shown him game tape of Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski.
“Those guys are legends around here,” Henry said
Hernandez played 3 seasons for the Patriots and racked up 175 catches for 1,956 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. His good play got him a 7-year, $39,582,000 contract that included a $12,500,000 signing bonus.
However, we would later find out that he played football as a secondary job and was a full-time gangster off the field. Hernandez’s career was cut short by an arrest and conviction for the murder of Odin Lloyd. In 2017, he was found dead in a prison cell.

As you can see, nobody is looking at Hernandez as a legend of anything.
Dennis “D.J.” Hernandez, older brother of troubled former NFL star Aaron Hernandez, was booked on charges of threatening and breach of peace. He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.
It has been quite the year for him. He was first arrested in May when he led police on a pursuit. He was arrested a second time days later when he threw a bag with a brick and a handwritten note at ESPN’s campus in Bristol, Connecticut.
Just this month, he missed court for the ESPN incident, which led to a third arrest. He seems like a guy who is destined to spend a ton of time behind bars, which is a good thing since he may eventually hurt someone.
