Dennis “D.J.” Hernandez, the older brother of former NFL player Aaron Hernandez, has been arrested under suspicion of planning school shootings.
According to police documents obtained by TMZ, there was concern that Hernandez had been keen on orchestrating shootings at UConn and Brown University while he’s shown signs of being “gravely disabled and a danger to society.”
The report notes that several people told police in July that D.J. had been behaving erratically and sending disturbing text messages, including one that reads, “we’re taking lives if s*** isn’t paid up. It’s been years in planning just taking notes, names and locations. They talked their way into this and it’s almost point game.”
A woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend claimed Hernandez used her car to go to the aforementioned schools instead of attending court on July 7 and went into some of the classrooms and buildings.
According to police, one social media post from Hernandez on July 19 reads “Will I kill? Absolutely, I’ve warned my enemies so pay up front.”
The cops went to his house that day and had to taser him as he refused to come out. He reportedly told them he was”on foot, armed and that if we approached him, he would kill us all.”

He eventually came out, shouting at the officers to shoot him before being put down, and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Following his release from hospital, Hernandez was brought to the Bristol Police Department and charged with threats and breach of the peace. He was held on a $250,000 bond and will have a court hearing next week.
