Somehow the refs missed this play, but the NFL surely will not when they go back and review the game film for possible fines and suspensions.
During the matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers, Aaron Donald was seen on replay damn near choking a Packers lineman after the play. An official can be seen watching the entire altercation unfold, but no flag was thrown on the play.
After all the weak roughing the passer and taunting flags we’ve seen throughout the season, you’d think the refs would have an easy time calling a blatant choke like this one…Or, maybe not.
The Packers would go on to win the game, 36-28, improving their record to 9-3, while dropping the Rams to 7-4 following their third straight loss.
The Packers’ offense frustrated Aaron Donald all afternoon, relentlessly running AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones in to the reigning DPOY while constantly double-teaming him and limiting him to zero sacks or tackles for a loss, and just one QB hit. Everyone was ready to anoint these Rams as Super Bowl champions after they acquired Von Miller and Odell Beckham, but at the moment it looks like they’ll be lucky if they can just make it past the Wild Card Round.
