The Los Angeles Rams parted ways with running back Todd Gurley II.
The Rams gave Gurley a four-year, $57.5 million contract extension with $45 million guaranteed just prior to the 2018 season. He rewarded them by playing at an MVP-type level, racking up 1,649 yards from scrimmage and 19 touchdowns during the first 12 games.
It was a move that was both shocking and upsetting to Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey.
Donald reacted with an upset emoji that was cursing.
Ramsey was more shocked that they actually went that route.

The Rams did cut down on how much they used Gurley in 2019 and it showed as he set career lows with 223 carries, 14.9 carries per game and 857 rushing yards.
He will now take his talents to another team.
