Amid rumors that A.J. Brown could be on his way out of Philadelphia, the star wide receiver wanted to shut out all of the noise right now before things only got worse.
The Eagles started last season 10-1 and lost six of their final seven games as they got eliminated in the wild-card round of the playoffs by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brown missed the game due to injury but he was seen angry on the sidelines many times during their slide. Brown didn’t speak much to reporters during the team’s losing streak and that made speculation grow even further.
Brown decided to shut everyone up when he abruptly called WIP radio in Philadelphia to address afternoon drive hosts Ike Reese and Jack Fritz.
Brown wants to be with the Philadelphia Eagles:
“I have no problem. I want to be here, it’s as simple as that,” Brown said. “I love where I’m at, it’s as simple as that. Next question.”
Brown added that he draws unnecessary comparisons to wide receiver Terrell Owens, who had a short-lived two-year stint with the Eagles in the early 2000s.

“The stigma between what T.O. did here, they always want to pinpoint that,” Brown said. “They always put me in this bubble and compare me to what he did. … That’s the reason I’m on the show today, I’m the person who stands up to the bully.”
Brown, who was traded to the Eagles from the Tennessee Titans ahead of the 2022 season, has had his two best NFL seasons in the city of brotherly love.
Brown caught 88 passes for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns in his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles and then came back last year and racked up 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns.
