Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown caused a stir on Twitter this week. The 2019 second-round pick will reportedly hold out of the team’s offseason program in search of a new deal.
After that announcement, Brown seemingly reacted to some of the backlash he might be getting for his contract stance.
“I’m a diva and a bad teammate all of sudden, lol ok,” he wrote. “Do what you have to do then and so will I.”
Fans began imagining the wideout taking his talents to their team almost immediately, but one team has already been crossed off his list.
One fan responded to his tweet, “The jets want you I promise.” Another fan responded with, “He doesn’t.”
Brown liked that tweet response.

Brown had been mentioned as a potential Jets target in an ESPN article that dropped last month. This may have been his way to let the franchise know to never make a deal for him.
Brown topped 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first two seasons, adding 19 receiving touchdowns. His numbers took a big dip in 2021, as he dealt with injuries, but the Ole Miss product still managed 869 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 13 games.
