Mike Scott might play for the Philadelphia Eagles, but he is an avid Washington Redskins fan, having been born in Chesapeake, Virginia.
The 31-year-old decided to go rep his team during the season opener with his Redskins jersey on while been surrounding by thousands of Eagles fans.
Earlier reports stated that the melee was over him repping another team, but people around the area stated it was because Mike Scott became enraged over Eagles fans bringing a casket to the tailgate area and having a Sean Taylor jersey on it.
Here’s even earlier video of them chanting “ashhole” towards him before the attack as he gets puled away from the casket:
@mikescott on behalf of @Eagles fans and Philadelphia we don’t condone this bullshit. You know exactly why this happened and it wasn’t because of your jersey pic.twitter.com/p5Wg0NXevZ
