Robert Shook, the last remaining survivor in the York County mass shooting of six people, has succumbed to his injuries and passed away, according to Ryan Bisesi of WRAL.com.
Shook’s employer, air-conditioning company GSM Services, also reported the news on Facebook.
“We are all heartbroken. Please keep his family in your prayers tonight and in the coming days as we all face this together,” the company wrote.
Dr. Lesslie, 70, his wife, Barbara, 69, and the couple’s grandkids, Adah Lesslie, 9, and Noah Lesslie, 5, were all found deceased inside the home.
The shooting was carried out by former NFL player Phillip Adams. The 32-year-old shot and killed six people before taking his own life.
Adams’ father, Alonzo Adams, told a North Carolina television station that he believed “football messed [Phillip] up.”
The seventh-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers out of South Carolina State in 2010 also played in New England, Seattle, Oakland, New York (Jets) and Atlanta.
