An NFL writer has listed six teams as possible landing spots for Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Amid a dramatic and event-filled year in Ann Arbor, Harbaugh’s Wolverines are putting together one of the best seasons in school history. The No. 2 ranked Wolverines are 12-0 and will play Iowa in Saturday’s Big Ten Football Championship Game.
Despite Harbaugh’s success, many wonder if he’ll leave Michigan and return to the NFL next year. He has served two three-game suspensions this year, one for recruiting violations and another for allegations that the program conducted a sign-stealing scandal.
Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox broke down six possible landing spots for the 59-year-old and former NFL Coach of the Year: The Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Chargers and Chicago Bears.
Carolina and Las Vegas were the first two teams to fire their coaches midseason. Frank Reich was let go by the Panthers on Monday, and the Raiders fired Josh McDaniels (and GM Dave Ziegler) after Week 8.
The Commanders, Chargers and Bears feel like good bets to change head coaches amid miserable seasons. There is speculation that New England will also part ways with the legendary Bill Belichick, who should easily find another HC role next year.

The Harbaugh-to-NFL rumors are running rampant, but first thing’s first: His Wolverines have a Big Ten Championship Game to win, followed by a (likely) appearance in the four-team postseason tournament.
