This offseason could see a ton of movement when it comes to quarterbacks.
Bleacher Report recently mapped out which big-name quarterbacks could be on the move as soon as the 2023 season is over officially after the Super Bowl.
The first name is Kirk Cousins who suffered a season-ending injury to his Achilles’ tendon in Week 8. The report says while he could return to the Minnesota Vikings, it’s possible the team may want somebody new to lead the team considering he is 35 years old.
The next quarterback is Baker Mayfield who is on a prove-it deal with the Tampa Bay Bucs. The report says he has proved himself by having 24 touchdowns to eight interceptions, but the team may have a hard time keeping other teams from coming after him with his performance in 2023.
Former No. 1 overall Kyler Murray is next as the report says his contract may be a reason he might get traded. It added he hasn’t accomplished much in five years and is not exactly showing anything since coming back from a torn ACL. The 26-year-old two-time Pro Bowler may be on his way out.
2021 No. 11 overall selection Justin Fields is listed as the fourth quarterback who could be gone this offseason. The Chicago Bears are likely set to have two picks somewhere in the tp-5 or 6 and that means a new quarterback could be coming from college to replace Fields. The article added the team may give him one last shot in 2024 without exercising his fifth-year option for 2025.
Last but not least and almost a given is Ryan Tannehill who got demoted in Tennessee. He is 35 and the team is clearly moving in a new direction.
